Fernanda studied biology and biomedical engineering at UTEP, and biobehavioral health at Penn State all in the journey to understand the social influences on health and disease throughout the human lifespan; Fernanda is no stranger to disease herself and lives with 3 chronic health conditions she manages with the help of mediation and yoga, which she also teaches as a Yoga alliance certified teacher. Fernanda has led 50+ classes with diverse themes and movements like "backbone mindfulness", beginner's mind, and an exploration of evolution and life forms. She primarily offers these through Eco El Paso in Local parks, but has also had an online series for activists!
